摘要: The taxonomy of Ptychagnostus atavus (Tullberg, 1880) and intermedius has been confused, in part at least, because inadequate or erroneous illustrations specimens from syntype series. From further examination new we conclude that those series are conspecific P. is the senior synonym intermedius. Laurentian agnostoids previously assigned to reassigned sinicus Lu, 1957. As revised, a common, globally distributed species open-marine lithofacies. Clarification its important first appearance datum (FAD) will likely define base global Cambrian stage.
