摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on the structural data describing molybdenum cofactor (Moco)-containing enzymes and discusses their respective catalytic mechanisms. The crystal structures of Moco-containing have revealed a remarkable degree diversity in overall polypeptide folds, as well composition stoichiometry Moco. representing four different enzyme families indicate that there is no ancestral from which all containing this derived. Instead, evolution independently selected at least protein folds to harbor differences between representatives same are analyzed chapter. comparison will show represent very heterogeneous group with structure, composition, stoichiometry, immediate environment. presents currently available biochemical involved biosynthesis
