摘要: The aim of the present study was to elucidate relationship between specific tasks and responsible ischemic lesions after experimentally induced cerebral hemispheric ischemia in Mongolian gerbils. We used elevated body swing test (EBST) evaluate asymmetry motor behavior, bilateral (BAT) sensory dysfunction, T-maze assess cognitive deficit during 4 weeks either 10-min single unilateral carotid artery occlusion (sCCAO) or repeated (rCCAO). rCCAO produced persistent sensorimotor severe deficits. Infarction confined ipsilateral cortex, hippocampus, dorsolateral nucleus thalamus caudate nucleus. sCCAO did not induce abnormalities, but produce mild deficits; these animals also showed increased locomotor activity early post-ischemic period. In sCCAO, neuronal death CA1 sector hippocampus. Thus, sufficient for evolution deficits this model experimental focal ischemia. Ischemic extending basal ganglia, hippocampus impairment accompanying These findings regarding region-specific behavioral will facilitate improved assessment stroke therapy.
