摘要: Pediatric central nervous system tumors (pCNSTs) are the second most common malignancy among children less than 20 years of age and solid tumor childhood. The incidence these has been steadily increasing over past decades. etiology as well mechanism development a majority pCNSTs remains elusive. Although numerous genetic epigenetic changes have identified with both outcome pCNSTs, alterations do not define tumors. Though ionizing radiation is risk factor for pCNST development, evidence role other environmental factors such pesticides, N-nitroso compounds, viral infections remain debatable. It probable that pediatric brain tumors, case cancers, multifactorial. Interaction may be responsible particular type in an individual. assessment gene–environment interaction more complex because lack sound molecular epidemiological studies complete picture individual cancer associated exposure analysis. increased susceptibility developing fetus child to insults should also considered part pCNSTs. This review describes chromosomal, genetic, found summarizes influence mitochondrial–nuclear signaling basis between environment factors.
