摘要: Reports of cytogenetic abnormalities in pediatric central nervous system (CNS) tumors are important for collection and comparison large numbers karyotypes primary CNS neoplasms to produce statistically significant correlations. We report results 119 samples from 109 patients. Tumors included 33 low-grade astrocytomas, 18 high-grade 14 gangliogliomas, 13 ependymomas, 17 primitive neuroectodermal (PNET), three choroid plexus papillomas carcinomas, a miscellaneous group 20 rare metastases. In each group, were correlated with histologic subtype survival. The study indicated specific chromosome different groups tumors. Low-grade astrocytomas showed mostly numeric gains 7, differences karyotypic changes observed adults lacking double minutes (dmin) monosomy 10. ependymoma the largest proportion abnormal frequent involvement 6 16. Chromosome was single most common this study, closely followed by chromosomes 1 11. Pediatric differ adult cytogenetically as well histologically biologically.
