摘要: Karyotypic analysis of 54 malignant human gliomas (5 anaplastic astrocytomas, 43 glioblastoma multiformes, 3 gliosarcomas, 2 giant cell glioblastomas, 1 mixed glioma) has demonstrated that 12 tumors contained normal stemlines or only lacked one sex chromosome. The 42 with abnormal karyotypes included 38 which could be completely analyzed. Six these cases had near-triploid near-tetraploid and 32 near-diploid stemlines. Statistically significant numerical deviations in the group were gains chromosome 7 (26 32; P < 0.001), losses 10 (19 0.001). Double minutes occurred 18 near diploid tumors. distribution structural abnormalities was analyzed statistically by comparing incidence breakpoints each chromosomal arm to expected value based on length. This 9p 19q ( 0.005 = 0.02, respectively). Although 1, 6p, centromeric region 11, 13q, 15q also frequently involved abnormalities, breaks did not reach statistical significance. demonstration specific provides basis for investigation genes may quantitatively qualitatively altered neoplasms.
