摘要: The numbers of normal copies each the chromosomes in representative karyotypes from 165 malignant tumors bladder, breast, cervix, colorectum, and testis studied this laboratory or described literature were assessed to determine whether particular over- underrepresented. For chromosome, mean number was expressed as a percentage expected on basis total karyotypes. most highly represented autosomes whole were, descending order frequency, 7, 20, 12, 19, 21, 3, while those underrepresented 10, 1, 4, 5, 14, 17, 11, 18. In males, Y tended be X testicular (there usually two more copies) colorectal but not other tumor categories studied. whole, statistically significant differences could demonstrated between pairs that at opposite ends frequency range. Differences different sites demonstrable. It is suggested determination chromosomes, i.e., there are fewer than expected, may usefully complement observations structural changes by reflecting presence oncogenes tumor-suppressor genes, respectively. also point involved genic which cytogenetic equivocal.
