摘要: Abstract A battery of acute toxicity tests with a variety aquatic organisms may represent valid approach for preliminary hazard assessment. As the difference in sensitivity among species can be very large, it is fundamental that test are properly selected. The paper compares three — Ceriodaphnia dubia, Daphnia magna , and Pimephales promelas (fathead minnow) larvae to effects toxicants. comparison based on data nine compounds; namely, benzene eight monosubstituted benzenes (MBs) expected span sufficiently wide range toxicity. results dubia fish showed two have similar susceptibility towards tested chemicals, major exception aniline, which was more toxic daphnids than (the actual LC 50 s differing by orders magnitude). Toxicity available from previous study, show trend observed but, at same time, suggest this equally or sensitive fathead minnow.
