摘要: Abstract 1. A nurse clinician program for the supervision of a large urban diabetic population, based on 6-week intensive curriculum plus weekly continuing education, has been described. 2. The quality medical care was compared between and traditional physician house staff system found to be equivalent as measured by biochemical parameters, mortality, morbidity. 3. Advantages include greater continuity care, more emphasis preventive medicine (education during clinic visits, telephone calls non-emergent problems), decreased multiple visits.
