摘要: Coir is one of the most important natural fibers having significant potentiality in structural biocomposites production. The long coir fiber (LCF) and short fibrous chips (CFC) were extracted from husk coconut. dimensions CFC within 1.0-12.5 mm LCF 2.0 mm. All treated with 5% NaOH (alkali) before biocomposite manufacturing. Different percentages (8%, 10%, 12%) melamine-urea-formaldehyde (MUF) used to produce tri-layered medium density composite panels 12 thickness. mechanical properties (tensile, flexural, internal bonding strengths) reinforced multilayered composites has been studied for all produced biocomposites. morphological, micro-structural, mechanisms investigated by Scanning electron microscope Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy analysis. Thermal thermal conductivity, thermogravimetric analysis, derivative thermogravimetry characterization. moisture contents final also this study. main objective work investigate influences MUF on Beside, a novel sustainable product developed through reinforcing chip terms panels.
