摘要: In Ayurveda and Thai traditional medicines, material from Coscinium fenestratum is commonly prescribed as active ingredients with diverse therapeutic purposes. However, C. also a seriously endangered medicinal liana. Thus, its crude very rare being substituted substances Arcangelisia flava or Fibraurea tinctoria (Menispermaceae), which have high morphological similarity. this current study, nuclear 18S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) gene DNA internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequences the polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphisms (PCR-RFLPs) technique were exploited to identify these three species. The rRNA of fenestratum, A. flava, F. consisted 1809, 1805, 1809 base pairs (bps), respectively, while their ITS regions 694, 622, 631 bps in length, respectively. digested SmaI restriction enzyme displayed electrophoresis profile 729 790 bps; for tinctoria, products showed fragments 1519 bps. Although had unrecognized SalI, SalI-digested exhibited approximately 599 bp. PCR-RFLPs proven be powerful molecular markers identifying distinguishing it other two Menispermaceae plants.
