Design of Crude Palm Oil monitoring system using electrical capacitance tomography: A conceptual framework

摘要: In Crude Palm Oil (CPO) milling operations, the oil flow that has gone through separation process must be tested for its purity as wastes (e.g. palm mill effluent, water, sludge) tend to get carried along pipeline. At present, this procedure usually takes up 5 days samples of needed verified biologically composition. Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) systems are able provide cross-sectional images a closed content proven possibility monitoring composition CPO in online manner. ECT also other crucial information such velocity and regime could help controlling processes. paper, brief literature review existing presented, then conceptual design developing an system visualizing measuring presented with decision choosing suitable technique hardware types new monitoring. A preliminary simulation study capability designed reconstruct water-oil phantoms is presented. The results show capable reconstructing phantom error lower than 30 %.
