摘要: Reciprocal translocations pose a serious problem in pig breeding due to the reduced fertility of carriers. This paper presents new reciprocal translocation phenotypically normal, but hypoprolific (20% reduction) boar. Chromosome banding as well FISH technique with use BAC and telomeric probes was applied for detailed characterization this chromosome rearrangement. The karyotype studied boar described 38,XY,t(6;16)(p13;q23). meiotic segregation quadrivalent 1,071 sperms by multicolor FISH. most frequent patterns were alternate (47.5%) adjacent 1 (41.9%), while 2 3:1 less at 1.2 9.2%, respectively. Surprisingly, frequency adjacent-1 appeared be relatively high, when compared human sperm Our study, along review literature, shows that reduction carriers incidence different may vary within broad range, both aspects seem unrelated. A need obligatory screening programs artificial insemination boars is emphasized.
