摘要: Colorectal cancer is the third most lethal in men and women USA. Although surgical resection mainstay of treatment, many patients develop local widely metastatic disease become resistant to conventional chemotherapeutics. Recent comprehensive molecular characterization has led subclassification colorectal adenocarcinoma based on properties, such as microsatellite instability high CpG island methylation. These emerging subclassifications are associate with varying frequencies RAS, BRAF, APC other genetic events have ability redefine therapeutic regimens. In this review, we examine how diagnostics currently used while providing insight into implications for analysis personalized therapy cancer.
