摘要: Abstract Background In the past decade, several screening instruments have been developed to detect toddlers at risk for autism, both in clinical and unselected samples. We aimed assess validity cross-cultural stability of Quantitative CHecklist Autism Toddlers (Q−CHAT), a quantitative normally distributed measure autistic traits, during routine paediatric developmental surveillance large Italian community toddlers. Methods A group n = 2400 were screened by paediatricians well−CHild visits between 18 24 months,in three regions, representative North, Centre South Italy. The psychometric properties factor structure Q−CHAT explored compared with published literature from Asia UK. Results total scores our sample confirmed normal distribution. Mean across regions consistent those reported UK studies likewise, gender effect was found, boys scoring higher than girls. We also found remarkable consistency three-factor Asian Q−CHAT. Internal acceptable score factors. Conclusions Our results confirm dimensional distribution traits related symptoms populations different cultures. is valid reliable instrument be used within setting well-child assessments. The main normative data replicated
