摘要: Background In product life cycle assessment (LCA), the attribution of environmental interventions to a under study is an ambiguous task. This due a) simplistic modeling characteristics in inventory step (LCI) LCA view complexity our techno-economic system, and b) nontangible theoretical nature system as representation processes ‘causally’ linked product. Ambiguous methodological decisions during setup LCI include end-of-life scenarios or choice allocation factor for joint co-production processes. An important criterion — besides conformity with relevant series standards ISO 14 040 if improvement options, which can be deduced from LCI, are perceived by decision-maker redirect material flows at stake into more sustainable paths.
