摘要: Abstract The aim of this study was the surface modification wool fibers to confer a multifunctional finishing fabrics, improving textile value and its applications without damage comfort properties. attention focused on an economical environmental friendly process obtain effective treatment with good durability washing. Chitosan in acetic acid solution applied by padding, grafted ultraviolet radiation, through radical reactions promoted photoinitiator. 2% chitosan enough satisfactory antimicrobial activity (67% reduction Escherichia coli ) after oxidative pre-treatment 1 h impregnation at 50 °C. Moreover treated fabrics showed strong dyeability increase toward dye. However evaluation laundering different behavior depending nature surfactants. Finally, anti-felting properties respect untreated were revealed, while no effect shown anti-pilling
