Some immunopathological aspects of aged Praomys (Mastomys) natalensis

摘要: Abstract Praomys (Mastomys) natalensis develops a wide variety of autoantibody specificities with age; these only those to thyroid colloid were associated histopathological lesion e.g. thyroiditis. An inverse relationship was found between the mean number autoantibodies and occurrence lymphoreticular tumors. It appears that Mastomys is better model for studies on general mechanisms autoimmunity than investigating specific autoimmune diseases per se.
