Effects of disulfiram on QTc interval in non-opioid-dependent and methadone-treated cocaine-dependent patients.

摘要: Objectives Methadone and cocaine are each known to prolong the QTc interval, a risk factor for developing potentially fatal cardiac arrhythmias. Disulfiram, often administered in context of methadone maintenance facilitate alcohol abstinence, has been shown have some efficacy dependence. Disulfiram differential effects on metabolism, but its impact methadone- or cocaine-induced changes interval is unclear. Thus, disulfiram subset cocaine-dependent patients participating 14-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial were prospectively determined. Methods Opioid-dependent participants inducted onto (weeks 1-2; MT) both MT non-opioid-dependent (UT) randomized receive 3-14) at one following doses: 0, 250, 375, 500 mg/d. Electrocardio-grams obtained before study entry during weeks 2 4.
