摘要: Abstract Acute water quality criteria (WQC) for the protection of coastal ecosystems are developed on basis short-term ecotoxicological data using most sensitive life stages representative species from main taxa marine column organisms. A probabilistic approach based sensitivity distribution (SSD) curves has been chosen and compared to WQC obtained applying an assessment factor critical toxicity values, i.e. ‘deterministic’ approach. The HC 5 values (5th percentile SSD) were 1.01 μg/l Hg, 1.39 μg/l Cu, 3.83 μg/l Cd, 25.3 μg/l Pb 8.24 μg/l Zn. Using early very endpoints allowed calculation ecosystems. These WQC, intended protect 95% in cases, calculated a limited dataset, avoiding use large uncertain factors.
