摘要: Two fresnoitic glasses (2BaO–TiO2–2GeO2 and 2SrO–TiO2–2SiO2) are studied by high-resolution electron energy-loss spectroscopy in the transmission microscope. It is shown that coordination fingerprinting using near-edge structure (being widely used crystalline compounds bearing transition metals) can also be applied to amorphous matter. In particular, respective ratios of fourfold, fivefold, sixfold co-ordinated Ti4+ verified for both comparison earlier X-ray photoemission measurements. The results demonstrate – sufficiently high spectral resolution given microscope an extremely promising powerful technique atomistic-structure studies materials. (© 2005 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
