Providing differentiated QoS with dynamic pricing policies for wireless access networks

摘要: Mobile operators might need to reconsider their current policies, including the ones used for pricing. Although flat rate is at time of writing most prominent pricing method, it believed be inappropriate forthcoming wireless communication scenarios. In this paper we propose use a dynamic scheme, in which base stations (BSs) modify price according carried load. By using different types users, assess suitability scheme provide tailored service levels. We two complementary approaches: distributed based on information available single user, analyzed by means an event-driven simulator that flexible enough settle required level heterogeneity and complexity network deployments. Besides, goodness obtained performance, pose binary linear programming problem, so as acquire best possible performance. latter case, will also discuss relevance corresponding objective function, since lead quite results.
