摘要: Allium cepa bulbs were grown in pure tap water (Group I), five concentrations (10 -1 M to 10 -5 M) of aluminium chloride the absence II) and presence III) myrobalan (fruit Terminalia chebula) at a fix concentration 0.10 mg/ml. Parameters study mean root length (after 72 hr) mitotic index, abnormal mistosis, chromosomal aberrations nucleolar morphology 48 hr). AlCl 3 all except where roots did not grew all, significantly lowered growth effect appeared dependent II). In induced mitodepression could be checked only -4 M. No morphological i.e. shape colour changes, mitosis any type detected group. hypertrophy nucleoli -2 M-10 which remedied III). Probable toxic action possible protective role are discussed.
