摘要: Abstract Objective To study the efficacy of performing two inseminations per cycle in IUI with husband's sperm compared one insemination cycle. Design Meta-analysis. Setting Randomized and prospective trials comparing vs. sperm, retrieved by MEDLINE Cochrane Library searches (1966–2001) a manual search abstracts European Society Human Reproduction Embryology American for Reproductive Medicine annual meetings (1990–2001). Patient(s) A total 865 patients underwent 1156 cycles sperm. Intervention(s) After different ovarian stimulation protocols, or were performed. Main outcome measure(s) Pregnancy rate Detected studies tested homogeneity. Because heterogeneity was observed, DerSimonian-Laird relative risk alleatory effects used. Result(s) Six randomized involving 1,156 identified. There remarkable among concerning methodology, especially regarding management timing inseminations. Although pregnancy somewhat higher two-inseminations-per-cycle group (14.9% 11.4%), there no statistically significant differences (relative risk=1.34; 95% confidence interval 0.90–1.99). Conclusion(s) No observed when performed, insemination. great timing. This hampered analysis. We detected better clomiphene citrate without gonadotropins 5,000 IU hCG More are necessary to ascertain whether this is true merely an artifact from multiple subgroups
