摘要: IEEE 802.11 Wireless LANs (WLANs) support multiple transmission rates. When some stations transmit at low rates, the performance of high rate degrades heavily, and this phenomenon is known as anomaly. As a solution to anomaly, airtime fairness was proposed. However, distributed coordination function (DCF) cannot provide all competing because protocol designed ensure fair attempt probability. In paper, we propose new medium access control, successful time MAC (STF-MAC), which in terms also provides maximum aggregate throughput basic service set (BSS) manner. STF-MAC can be easily applied solve uplink/downlink problem infrastructure mode. Through simulations, demonstrate that not only remedies anomaly but maximizes under constraint.
