摘要: Fairness is one of the most important performance measures in IEEE 802.11 Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs), where channel accessed through competition. In this paper, we focus on fairness problem between TCP uplink and downlink flows infrastructure WLANs from cross-layer perspective. First, show that there exists a notable discrepancy throughput flow flow, discuss its root cause standpoint different responses to data packet drop ACK at access point (AP) buffer. order mitigate unfairness, propose dual queue scheme, which works manner. It employs two separate queues AP, for packets another flows, selects these with appropriate probabilities so per-flow improved. Moreover, analyze behavior scheme derive throughputs flows. Based analysis, obtain optimal selection fairness. Extensive simulation results confirm proposed effective useful resolving unfairness without deteriorating overall utilization.
