Beam self‐trapping and dynamics of laser‐induced magnetoplasmas

摘要: Spatially and temporally resolved measurements of transmitted laser radiation, radial density profiles, plasma dynamics indicate beam self‐trapping in CO2 laser‐induced helium plasmas strong longitudinal magnetic fields. Trapping is observed for the cases β≳1, β?1, β<1. Longitudinal growth occurs principally by breakdown waves weak radiation‐supported detonation waves.
