摘要: Providing effective feedback on resource consumption in the home is a key challenge of environmental conservation efforts. One promising approach for providing about residential energy use ambient and artistic visualizations. Pervasive computing technologies enable integration such into form distributed point-of-consumption devices to support decision-making everyday activities. However, introducing these requires sensitivity domestic context. In this paper we describe three abstract visualizations suggest four design requirements that type device must meet be effective: pragmatic, aesthetic, ambient, ecological. We report findings from mixed methods user study explores viability using based requirements. Our viable way provide both aesthetics representation context are important elements considered space.
