摘要: Upon transfer of a genetically engineered Escherichia coli gene for glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase (plsB) to Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Heynh., the is transcribed and translated into an enzymatically active polypeptide. This leads alteration in fatty acid composition membrane lipids. From these alterations it evident that enzyme located mainly inside plastids. The amount saturated acids plastidial lipids increased. In particular, fraction high-temperature melting species phosphatidylglycerol elevated. These molecules are thought play crucial role determining chilling sensitivity plants. An increase could be observed transgenic plants during recultivation after treatment. Implications hypothesis phosphatidylglycerol-determined discussed.
