摘要: Individualized treatments with combination of radiotherapy and targeted drugs require knowledge about the behavior molecular targets after irradiation. Angiogenic marker expression has been studied conventional radiotherapy, but little is known response to charged particles. For very first time, we used ultrasound imaging intraindividually track changes in angiogenic carbon ion irradiation experimental tumors. Expression intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) αvβ3-integrin subcutaneous AT-1 prostate cancers rats treated ions (16 Gy) was using immunohistochemistry. this purpose, cyanoacrylate microbubbles were synthesized linked specific ligands. The accumulation tumors quantified before 36 hours In addition, tumor vascularization analyzed volumetric Doppler ultrasound. tumors, significantly higher than nonspecific ones could be inhibited competitively. Before irradiation, no difference binding αvβ3-integrin-specific or ICAM-1-specific observed untreated animals. After however, animals showed a an enhanced controls. both groups, decrease occurred during growth, significant between irradiated nonirradiated conclusion, upregulates ICAM-1 neovasculature. Molecular can indicate regulation these markers thus may help identify optimal time points individualized therapy regimens.
