摘要: Abstract The characteristic features of high-spin spectra octupole-deformed nuclei are demonstrated by means Woods-Saxon-Bogolyubov cranking calculations. rotational Ra and Th studied. experimental data suggests shape changes with increasing neutron number from N − 130 (nearly spherical shapes) through 134 (octupole-deformed to 140 (well-deformed reflection-symmetric shapes). octupole mixing between the high- j intruder states normal-parity orbitals leads specific patterns quasiparticle characterised a quantum referred as simplex. influence deformation on properties nuclear like spin alignment, band interaction, etc. discussed.
