摘要: Abstract Yrast states in the nucleus 220 Ra were studied by means of 208 Pb( 14 C, 2n) reaction at 61 and 64 MeV. A staggering sequence levels positive negative parity has been observed up to spin I π = 16 + (18 ) from 5 − 17 , respectively. These are connected strong E1 transitions competing with stretched E2 transitions, B( E 1) 2) ratio being ~ 10 −6 fm −2 . The excitation energy 4 state that 2 is close vibrational limit. moment inertia associated negative-parity yrast slightly increasing rotational frequency ω. It considerably higher than positive-parity lower spins, difference decreasing monotonically data discussed reference octupole picture as well results recent models predicting reflection-asymmetric shapes Ra-Th region.
