摘要: Abstract The present study evaluates by ultrastructural and immunohistochemical methods, the possible changes on muscular tissue affected LLLI during a treatment, for example, in cases of temporomandibular joint disorders. Sixty male Wistar rats divided into 6 groups ( n = 10) received ten laser irradiations, with different energy densities (groups I-0; II-0.5; III-1.0; IV-2.5; V-5.0; VI-20 J/cm 2 ). Muscles were removed processed transmission electron microscopic (VEGF VEGFR-2) analyses. Captured photomicrographs immunohistochemistry microscopy evaluated. It was observed irradiated muscles, mitochondria shapes sizes, increased plasticity evidenced organelles fusion, division presence elongated structures characteristics mitochondria, proximity dilated sarcoplasmatic reticulum, suggesting large amounts energy, cytoplasmic protrusions capillaries high dosages. All studied showed immunostainings both markers VEGFR-2), but general those who higher doses also markings more pronounced, dose-dependent biomodulation. concluded that able to modify pattern VEGF VEGFR-2 masseter muscle rats.
