摘要: Abstract Statement of problem. Guided tissue regeneration (GTR) is an efficacious and predictable treatment modality for deep intrabony defects around natural teeth abutments. However, long-term prognosis abutments treated with has to be proven. Purpose. This study investigated the stability clinical outcomes obtained in strategically important Material methods. Sixteen 16 patients were according principles GTR. After completion initial periodontal therapy placement provisional fixed partial dentures, nonresorbable membranes applied. Membranes removed after 6 weeks. All remained a supervised recall program. Final dentures placed 1 year surgery. Clinical evaluated at then 4 8 years Results. attachment level gains 5.3 ± 1.8 mm, reductions pocket depth (6.1 2 mm), increases percentage radiographic bone support (31% 18%) observed year. At follow-up visits, levels stable respect (–0.1 0.6 mm; P =.4). The slightly increased as compared (1% 3%, =.04), depths (0.8 0.8 =.004). Conclusions. indicated that tooth can gained GTR maintained over time recalled regularly. (J Prosthet Dent 1999;81:305-11.)
