摘要: Diabetes and obesity are chronic conditions associated with elevated oxidative/inflammatory activities a continuum of tissue insults leading to more severe cardiometabolic renal complications including myocardial infarction end-stage-renal damage. A common denominator these is the enhanced levels cytokines like tumour necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin (IL-6), IL-1β resistin, which in turn activates c-Jun-N-terminal kinase (JNK) NF-κB pathways, creating vicious cycle that exacerbates insulin resistance, type-2 diabetes related complications. Emerging evidence indicates heme oxygenase (HO) inducers endowed potent anti-diabetic sensitizing effects besides their ability suppress immune/inflammatory response. Importantly, HO system abates inflammation through several mechanisms suppression macrophage-infiltration abrogation transcription factors NF-κB, JNK activating protein-1. This review highlights by potentiates signalling, particular emphasis on HO-mediated oxidative inflammatory insults. The could be explored search for novel remedies against diseases
