摘要: Abstract This paper discusses the evaluation of synergies that derive from implementation policy packages designed to promote use public transportation and limit traffic congestion in urban areas. In this study, we propose application a land-use integrated (LUTI) model study outcomes two packages. We apply long-term strategic LUTI MARS-Madrid analyze an empirical case Madrid, Spain. The analyzed policies include road pricing scheme (congestion charge) city center increase level service (bus frequency changes) whole region. Different scenarios, involving respectively each one these separately or both simultaneously, are simulated compared base scenario (business as usual, “do-nothing”). evaluate effects on several indicators social welfare, discuss optimization isolation combined package. provides insights into suitability proposed modeling approach impact metropolitan areas, policies, topic is not enough studied literature.
