摘要: Abstract When tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) infected leaves were cultured in solutions containing 2-thiouracil (2-TU), synthesis was inhibited and TMV produced substantially less infectious than the from untreated leaves. infectivity of 2-TU compared to that control by assaying freshly extracted saps virus, it found up 80% particles samples apparently noninfectious. tests carried out on partially purified preparations, however, reduction due treatment with significantly less. The reason for this discrepancy remains obscure, but has been shown is not (1) an artifact techniques used; (2) presence or other inhibitors sap analog-treated leaves; (3) end-to-end aggregation during partial purification virus.
