摘要: The proper use of products containing sodium hypochlorite, ammonium salts and triclosan has proved to be effective in the elimination infectious agents household environment. Our objective was evaluate immediate, one-week one-month efficacy controlled five these components, compared other commonly used products. Within a six month period, thirty two middle-class homes from Buenos Aires City suburbs were included this open-label, randomized, parallel-group intervention study. Sixteen randomized hypochlorite, ammonia kitchen bathroom during one month. remaining maintained usual practices for domestic cleaning. Bacterial counts identification performed samples taken each study site. Baseline (no group discrimination) contained mean bacterial count 66.0 CFU/cm2, 40.1 CFU/cm2. Samples immediately after-cleaning contained: 0.8 CFU/cm2; < 1 After week (intervention vs. control group) 18.0 32.5 12.7 7.7 group): 60.1 62.1 37.0 42.0 A remarkable decrease load observed both groups, which suggests that not only product quality but also education suitable plays key role successful house disinfection. This approach could an important tool improving prevention foodborne infections since fecal coliforms widely predominated all analyzed samples.
