摘要: The Gulf Coast of the United States exhibits a wide range shoreline dynamics depending on relative rise local sea level, interactions wave and tide energy, sediment supply. general trend increased erosion during past several decades is due in part to rising level perhaps more importantly, human intervention form impoundment along   fluvial/estuarine systems and, locally, by numerous hard structures, especially those designed for navigation. Generally Texas coast fairly stable except three eroding deltaic headlands. Parts chenier Louisiana are severely parts accreting. open Mississippi Delta area most rapidly Mexico has severe problems throughout its extent. northeastern west, but peninsula Florida stable. Because great variability, these generalizations do have exceptions.
