摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the procedure for isolation of malaria parasites and their constituents. The parasite is a complex eukaryotic organism. It described by morphologists in terms plasma membranes, pelicule complexes, microtubules, nuclei, ribosomes, multitude other structures. problem obtaining sufficient quantities complicated its life cycle. develops two hosts—an invertebrate vertebrate. exists variety morphologically distinct forms both hosts. In each host, organ cell systems are parasitized. vertebrate develop intracellularly, while they extracellularly but nevertheless closely associated with host's tissues. While all stages may share common components, stage also has unique characteristics. describes techniques relatively large numbers gametocytes, gametes, ookinetes. use gametocytes gametes induction transmission-inhibiting immunity resulted an interesting approach to vaccination. vitro production ookinetes from made it possible devise system monitoring antibodies.
