Active three-phase rectifier system using a “Flying” Converter Cell

摘要: Many applications require three-phase rectifier circuits with high input current quality (THD i less than 5%) and a power factor above 0.95 which cannot be achieved by application of simple robust passive bridges. Active are able to fulfill these requirements but existing systems can typically not extended topologies. In this work novel family using “Flying” Converter Cell is proposed allows the extension an low-harmonic circuit. The operating principle discussed, design guidelines based on calculated stress circuit derived possible modes addressed. proper operation topology finally demonstrated simulation 170kW rectifier.
