摘要: Abstract Intracellular stages of Trypanosoma rangeli develop in most tissues infected Rhodnius prolixus , but they show a predilection for gut musculature, fat body, epidermis, and salivary glands. Heavy hemocoelic infections often result severe nerve damage hypertrophy tracheal cells, which finally rupture release flagellates. T. may inhibit the reduviid symbiote Nocardia rhodnii possibly resulting molting deformities death bugs. Autointoxication, caused by damaged muscular, nervous, systems, is other prime cause mortality.
