摘要: Abstract Rhodnius prolixus cannot develop normally on rabbit blood in the absence of its normal symbiont Nocardia rhodnii. Most aposymbiotic larvae failed to ecdyse from fourth fifth instar. Aposymbiotic second instar fed rabbits were significantly heavier than same instar, and took longer at every When was supplemented with high concentrations folic acid, nicotinic pantothenic pyridoxine, riboflavin, thiamine development improved, but still inferior that unsupplemented blood. It concluded under conditions N. rhodnii supplies host thiamine, may also provide acid riboflavin. The artificial feeding technique used very successful. allowed freedom diet manipulation, acceptance by insects good.
