摘要: Streptococcus equi ssp. zooepidemicus (Streptococcus zooepidemicus, SEZ) is an important pathogen associated with opportunistic infections of a wide range species, including horses, pigs and humans. The absence suitable vaccine confounds the control SEZ infection. Cell surface protein (CSP) has been identified as immunogenic in previous study but its protective efficacy not clear. In present study, purified recombinant CSP could elicit significant humoral antibody response confer protection against challenge lethal dose mice model. adhere to HEp-2 cells confirmed by flow cytometry inhibit adherence inhibition assay. addition, real-time PCR demonstrated that was induced vivo following infection SEZ. Our findings suggest may play potential role pathogenesis be target for development novel subunit
