Hyper-Responsiveness of Patients with Limb-Girdle Dystrophy to Human Growth Hormone

摘要: ABSTRACT The effect of human growth hormone (hGH) was measured upon the N, P, Na and K balance body weight (bw) 6 normal subjects (ages 27–55) 5 patients with limbgirdle muscular dystrophy similar age. hGH administered for seven days at a dosage 0.0168, 0.0532 or 0.168 U/kg bw¾/day (doses A, B C, respectively). Doses A were ineffective in all normals, dose C produced weak anabolic only 2 these subjects. Contrastingly, stimulated retention gain wt dystrophies; doses caused an response 4 3 cases, respectively. Patients limb-girdle are least 7 times more sensitive to than same
