摘要: A novel method is proposed for the evaluation of activity an antifungal agent administered as a gas. This system composed batch-flow type reaction vessel, gas flow system, and microscopic observation system. The agar plate was prepared on ceiling mycelium fungus (Aspergillus niger or Rhizoctonia solani) inoculated onto it. After preincubation at 25 degrees C 24 h, vessel connected to An appropriate hypha selected, its elongation rate measured. Then sample holder containing compound inserted into from side hole saturate atmosphere inside with vapor. retardation inhibition observed television monitor recorded video tape recorder. then removed, flushed air. If lived, it began elongate again. By this method, seven odor compounds could be evaluated quantitatively within several hours.
