摘要: Cultured astrocytes, activated to express the inducible form of nitric oxide synthase, produced up 1 μM (NO) measured by a NO-selective electrode, while non-activated cells no detectable NO. The production NO was associated with an inhibition cellular respiration, simultaneously oxygen electrode. respiration rapidly reversed inhibiting synthase or binding haemoglobin. respiratory had NO, and substrate dependence consistent NO-inhibition at cytochrome oxidase. This is first demonstration that can reversibly inhibit mitochondrial via production. large potentially important in range pathophysiological conditions.
