摘要: The objectives of the present study were to evaluate anatomic localization porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) in naturally infected pigs determine whether oral fluid could be used detect animals. Two sows, seven 2-month-old grower pigs, 70 6-month-old gilts included this study. PRRSV sera identified by nested reverse transcription PCR (nRT-PCR) while lung, tonsil, tissue associated with cavity subjected nRT-PCR, immunohistochemistry, situ hybridization. In was tonsils. also detected fluid, tonsils, salivary glands, mucosa, lungs all pigs. However, viremia observed only two Double staining revealed that distributed macrophages within adjacent tonsillar crypt epithelium. gilts, North American type field strain 3 8 weeks after introducing these animals onto farm. These results confirm previous findings primarily replicates tonsils is then shed into fluid. Therefore, sampling may effective for surveillance breeding herds.
