摘要: Abstract The human intestine lodges a large amount of microorganisms, with over 500 species bacteria whose density increases through the small bowel reaching concentrations from 10 9 to 14 colony-forming unit/ml in colon. More than 99% gut microbiota is composed that can be divided into 4 main families: Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria. Numerous factors are involved control stability such as intestinal pH, temperature, microbial interaction, peristalsis, bile acid, drug therapy immune responses. When these mechanisms fail, imbalance microflora occur, resulting onset both extra-intestinal (infectious allergic) (infectious, inflammatory, autoimmune neoplastic) diseases.
