摘要: Because animals killed by predators are often found partially consumed or decomposed, identification of the predator is unachievable post mortem examination. Forensic DNA offers an alternative in such situations. Using a novel method to analyse from bite wounds on freshly-killed chuditch Dasyurus geoffroii, we describe first confirmed instance this species intraguild killing feral cat. Unlike examination, our melt curve analysis highly accurate and requires less time expense than sequencing.
